When Isaac had grown up, his father Abraham wanted to marry him to one of his relatives. So, Isaac got married his cousin’s daughter, Rebecca. The couple had two sons, Esau and Jacob. They were twins, but Esau was the first-born. Jacob was the younger. According to customs, the privileges were given to the older son, but in this case God showed his kindness to Jacob. However, Jacob had lied to and deceived his old father Isaac to get the blessing. His brother Esau was very upset that he had lost the first born privilege and hated Jacob who had to flee from his home.
